The fine details:
You’ll know the ins and outs of web development, in particular with JavaScript and CSS for building web applications using frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue. You will play an active role in defining the application from design through to function by bridging the gap between the design and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
Work collaboratively with our cross functional teams both in house and on site at client workspaces.
Build web applications using React and similar frameworks which are powered by back-end services created by our back-end team.
Write, test, and document yours and others’ code.
Sharing your knowledge with the front-end and wider teams.
Work within project timelines, understand dependencies and deliverables, and communicate clearly with project teams about progress, risks and issues.
Your skills & experience
You don’t need to be comfortable with everything in this list, but we’d love it if you have...
A minimum of 3 years experience in a related software development role.
Can write exceptional HTML, JavaScript (bonus points for TypeScript) and CSS.
An understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
Experience integrating REST or similar API’s with modern front-end applications.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimise website performanace for optimal user experience.
A keen eye for design and the ability to create UI elements based on an existing design / system.
A sound understanding of all major browsers and the associated development and testing considerations for each.
